Austria

Sölk Pass

Sölk Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.793m (5,882ft) above the sea level, located in the Austrian Alps in the Bundesland of Styria. Since the late Bronze Age, the pass  was used by people and later it worked as an important trade route.

Hohenfurther Pass

The Vyšší Brod Pass is an international mountain pass at an elevation of 752m (2,467ft) above the sea level, located on the border between Austria and the Czech Republic.

Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße

The Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road is considered one of the most beautiful and popular panoramic roads in the Austrian Alps. The 'Dream road of the Alps' is 22.3 km long and leads in 34 curves up to the 2.032 m high, providing unique views in a wonderful natural landscape. Expect steep turns and sharp bends, endless serpentines and a superb panorama.

Großsee

Großsee is a high mountain dam, at an elevation of 2.481m (8,139ft) above the sea level, located in the district of Spittal an der Drau in the Austrian state of Carinthia.

Hahntennjoch

Hahntennjoch is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.894 m (6,214ft) above the sea level, located in the Austrian Alps, in the Bundesland of Tyrol.

Timmelsjoch

The Timmelsjoch pass (Passo del Rombo in Italian) is an international high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.509m (8,231ft) above the sea level that creates a link through the Ötztal Alps along the border between Austria and Italy, just some meters below the Queen of alpine roads, the Passo dello StelvioIt's one of the highest mountain roads of the Alps.

Turracher Höhe

Turracher Höhe is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.795m (5,889ft) above the sea level, located in the Gurktal Alps in Austria. The road to the pass has a maximum gradient of 23%.

Arlberg Pass

Arlberg Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.793m (5,883ft) above the sea level, located between Vorarlberg and Tyrol in Austria.

Ötztaler Gletscherstraße

The 15km-long Panoramic Glacier Road, also known as Ötztal Glacier Road (Ötztaler Gletscherstraße in German), reaching an elevation of 2,830 m (9,285 ft) above the sea level, ranks among the highest mountain roads in the Eastern Alps, connecting the village of Sölden with the glacier ski areas. It's one of the highest mountain roads of Europe.  A sign warns “Mountain Road Only for Experienced Riders.”

Zillertaler Höhenstraße

Zillertaler Höhenstraße is a high mountain road located in the Zillertal Alps, in Austria. This toll road is 48km long, and climbs up from 550 to 2.020 metres above sea level. It is known as one of the most beautiful mountain roads in Austria.

Großer Oscheniksee

Großer Oscheniksee is a high mountain reservoir at an elevation of 2.390m (7,841ft) above the sea level, located in Carinthia in Austria. It’s an epic, monster, killer climb with a gradient of 20% in some sections. It’s said to be one of the hardest climb of the Alps.

Plöckenpass

Plöckenpass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1.357m (4,452ft) above the sea level, located in the Carnic Alps mountain range at the border between the Austrian state of Carinthia and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy.

Viderjoch pass

Viderjoch is a high mountain pass, located in the Alps, at an elevation of 2.737m (8,979ft) above the sea level in the Paznaun Valley in Tyrol, on the border of Switzerland and Austria.

Bielerhöhe Pass

The BielerhöhePass, at an elevation of 2.071m (6,794ft) above the sea level, is a high mountain pass in the Austrian Alps between the Bundesländer of Vorarlberg and Tyrol. The pass connects Montafon (in Vorarlberg) and the Paznaun valley (in Tyrol). The pass is traversed by the Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road.

Brennerpass

The Brenner Pass is an international mountain pass at an elevation of 1.370m (4,495ft) above the sea level, through the Alps, on the Italian-Austrian border.

Kitzbüheler Horn
