A wild road to Laguna Uchucchacua in the Andes

Laguna Uchucchacua is a high mountain lagoon at an elevation of 4.390m (14,402ft) above the sea level located in the province of Oyón in the Department of Lima, in Central Peru.

Nestled in the Andes mountain range, the road to the summit is totally unpaved in good condition. It’s called LM-18. Remember this is a mountainous area, climbing up a high mountain, with a notorius absence of oxygen.

The road is 43.5 km (27.02 miles) long, running west-east from Oyón, the capital of the province Oyón towards PA-100 road. It’s a difficult road, with uncountable turns and twists.
