Chicamocha Canyon is a steep sided canyon located in the Chicamocha National Park, in Colombia.
The road along the canyon is called Ruta Nacional 45A. It’s asphalted and includes a lot of hairpin turns. The canyon was carved by the Chicamocha River. The road encompasses miles of stunning views through twisty hair pin corners, high elevations and steep grades. The canyon is located on the highway between Bucaramanga and San Gil, 54 Kilometers from Santander's largest and capital city Bucaramanga. This river flows through the departments of Boyaca and Santander, where it reaches its maximum depth near the outskirts of Bucaramanga.
