A road to Colquechaca, the highest town of Bolivia

Colquechaca is a small town in Bolivia, at an elevation of 4.167m (13,671ft) above the sea level. It’s one of the highest towns accessible by car on Earth.

Located in the the Province of Chayanta in the northern region of the Department of Potosí, the road to the town is totally unpaved and narrow in parts. Starting from Macha, a small town on Ruta 6, the road to Colquechaca is 19.4 km (12.05 miles) long. Colquechaca is the highest city in Bolivia with residences up to 4,235 meters (13,894 feet) above the sea level.
