Spectacular high mountain dirt track mix of sand, rocks and rivers, in Potosí Department, Bolivia, with a total length of 63.9 km. This corrugated road links the villages of Tupiza and Quiriza running entirely at an elevation of more than 3.100m above the sea level.
This unsealed road starts in Tupiza, a wild and remote, but extremely beautiful zone. Tupiza is a city in Potosí Department, Bolivia. It is located at an elevation of about 3,160 m. After 63.9km the road ends near the mining town of Quiriza, at an elevation of 3,598m above the sea level. The surface of the road is a mix of sand, rocks and rivers, and chains or snow tyres can be required anytime. Due its unique location and the climb in elevation over thousands of feet, and passing through remote areas, it is important when driving in these conditions to be prepared.
