The unpaved road to El Aguilar, one of the highest towns in the world

El Aguilar is a small town and a mine at an elevation of 4.895m (16,060ft) above the sea level, located in Jujuy Province in Argentina. It’s one of the highest towns in the world.

The road to the town is unpaved, with extreme conditions. It’s called EXRN40 (or Ex Ruta Nacional 40). The economy of the town is mainly based on a nearby mine. It's one of the highest mountain roads of Argentina.
