Refugio José Rivas (locally known as Refugio Cotopaxi) is a high mountain refuge at an elevation of 4.639m (15,219ft) above the sea level, located on the boundary between Pichincha and Cotopaxi provinces of Ecuador. It's one of the highest roads of the country.
Located in Napo Province, Ecuador, Papallacta is the highest town in the country, at an elevation of 3.300m (10,827ft) above the sea level. It’s one of the highest towns accessible by car on Earth.
