Walters, Chucks, and Jays are three different cabins located in Eagle County, in the US state of Colorado. The road to the huts tops out at 3.431m (11,256ft) above sea level.

The road to the cabins is totally unpaved. The track is in pretty good shape but it can be narrow and rocky.  SUV or 4WD is recommended but sometimes the road is in good enough condition for high clearance 2wd vehicles.

How long is the road to Shrine Mountain Inn?

Located in the central part of Colorado, within the White River National Forest, the road to the cabins is 0.6 mile long starting from Shrine Pass Road - FSR 709.

Is the road to Shrine Mountain Inn open year-round? 

Set high in the southern section of the Gore Range, the gravel driveway is accessible from June until September. Open season dates may vary depending on conditions.
