Mount Ogden
Mount Ogden is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.915m (9,563ft) above the sea level, located in Weber County, in the U.S. state of Utah.
Located in the northern Wasatch Range, the road to the summit is gravel, rocky and treacherous in parts. It’s a service access road. Weather conditions can change quickly and be harsh. Road closures can be frequent. 4wd vehicle required. Only travel on this road when it is dry. Proper preparation is essential to having a safe, enjoyable trip on this road. As always, check road conditions before departing. The road is difficult and it’s a nightmare in the wet or dark (or both). Do not take this drive if you have respiratory problems or any type of heart condition. Altitude and extreme weather is always a factor at any time of year. This trail can be done only a very narrow time-frame in the summer (end of August). The wind is usually quite strong at mountain areas. High winds blow here all year long. Even in summer you can confront with snowy days. Temperatures here in the winter are brutally cold. The road to the summit is a ski-station service road pretty steep, with some sections up to 30%. The summit features several large radio towers and a helipad.
