The lake is located in the southern part of Wyoming, within the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest.

The road to the lake is totally unpaved. It’s called Forest Road 332. It comprises a few rocky sections and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

The road to the lake is 2.8 miles long, running south-north from the paved WY-130 Road to Little Brooklyn Lake, on the way to Brooklyn Lake.

How to drive to Jeep Lake, Round Lake and Towner Lake?

Along the way, the road leads to 3 high-mountain lakes: Jeep Lake, Round Lake and Towner Lake. 

Is the road to Fishhook Lake open year-round? 

Set high in the Medicine Bow Mountains, the road is not plowed in winters. It is usually impassable from October to June.
