The peak is located to the west of Verdi, in the northeastern part of California, near the Nevada border, within the Tahoe National Forest.

The rough road to the summit is totally unpaved, narrow and very steep. A 4WD vehicle is required.

How long is the road to Ladybug Peak?

Starting from Verdi Peak Road, the road to the summit is 630 m long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 60m and the average gradient is 9.52%.

Is the road to Ladybug Peak open year-round?

Set high in the Sierra Nevada, the road is not plowed in winters. It’s typically snow covered from late-November through late-April-mid-May.
