The peak is located east of Millett, in the central part of Nevada within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

Is the road to Masket Peak unpaved?

The road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s called Mcr971027 Road. It comprises narrow parts and very steep sections. A 4x4 vehicle is required.

How long is the road to Masket Peak?

Starting from NF-138 (Ikes Canyon Road), the road to the summit is 6.59km (4.1 miles) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 559m (1,837 ft) and the average gradient is 8.48%.

Is the road to Masket Peak open year-round?

Set high in the Toquima Range, the road is not plowed in winters.
