Benson Ridge

Benson Ridge is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.906m (9,534ft) above the sea level, located in Otero County, in the U.S. state of New Mexico.

The road to the summit, located within the Lincoln National Forest, is gravel and rocky. It’s called Forest 223 Road (Dark Canyon Road). It’s impassable in winters. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep.
