Imperial Express SuperChair is said to be one of the highest chairlifts in North America. Located in Summit County, Colorado, in USA, the chairlift lies at an elevation of 3.652m (11,981ft) above the sea level, just about 100 feet from the very top of Peak 8.
It’s one of the highest mountain roads of Colorado. The road to the summit is is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. 4x4 only. It’s located in the Breckenridge Ski Area. A 4WD vehicle and an experienced driver are recommended. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. It’s the highest chairlift in North America. Stay away if you're scared of heights. The trail is open in the months when snow skiing is not available. It is mostly used to provide access to maintain ski lifts and lodges. The last part of the climb is very intimidating. It is well above timberline, and the trail is not wide at all.
