Williams Peak is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.424m (11,233ft) above sea level, located in Grand County, in the US state of Colorado. It is not a difficult trail, and offers some spectacular views.

The road to the summit is totally unpaved, with rocky parts and steep sections. It should be fine for a SUV with good clearance, though some trees may come close to scratching paint.

Starting from the paved CO-9, the road to the summit is 18.4 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 1139 m and the average gradient is 6.19%.

Is the road to Williams Peak open year-round?

Set high in the Williams Fork Mountains, the road is not plowed in winters.
