The inhumane climb to San Miguel Mountain with 21% ramps

San Miguel Mountain is a mountain peak at an elevation of 782m (2,567ft) above the sea level located in San Diego County, in the southwestern corner of the state of California.

Located within the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge, the road to the summit is totally paved but very steep and narrow. It’s called Miller Ranch Road. The summit hosts several communication towers and facilities. On a clear day views well into Mexico are abundant

The road is pretty steep. Starting at CA-94 road, the ascent is 7.40km (4.6 miles) long, with an elevation gain of 679 meters. The average gradient is 9.17%, hitting a 20.4% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
