The peak is located west of Lewistown, in the central part of Montana, within the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest.

Is the road to Yogo Peak unpaved?

The road to the summit is totally unpaved and rocky. It’s called Forest Service Road 3328. It features narrow parts, steep sections and 10 hairpin turns. A 4x4 vehicle is required.

How long is the road to Yogo Peak?

Starting from the paved Kings Hill Scenic Byway, the road to the summit is 14.96km (9.3 miles) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 586m (1,923 ft) and the average gradient is 3.91%.

Is the road to Yogo Peak open year-round?

Set high in the Little Belt Mountains, the road is not plowed in winters.
