Cove Mountain is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.254m (10,675ft) above sea level located in Sanpete County, in the US state of Utah. It’s one of the highest roads in Utah.

Where is Cove Mountain?

The pass is located west of Manti in the central part of Utah.

Is the road to Cove Mountain unpaved?

The road through the pass is totally unpaved, rocky and rugged. It’s called Forest Road 0061, also known as Cove Road. The road is not easy, and drivable only in dry weather. A 4x4 vehicle is required. The road becomes extremely rugged and rocky after 0.5 miles.

How long is the road to Cove Mountain?

Starting from Forest Road 150, the road to the summit is 2.7 miles long.

Is the road to Cove Mountain open year-round?

Set high in the Wasatch Plateau, the road is not plowed in winters and usually impassable from October through June.
