Wondervu Hill: The Ultimate Road Trip Guide

Wondervu Hill is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.643m (8,671ft) above the sea level, located on the boundary between Boulder and Gilpin counties in the U.S. state of Colorado.

The mountainous highway to the summit is totally paved. It’s called Coal Creek Canyon Road (CO 72). Access to the pass is typically open all year round, with the occasional closure in winters due to dangerous weather conditions.

The pass road is 9.97km (6.2 miles) long, running west-east from Pinecliffe to Coal Creek. The drive is steep, hitting a 12% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
