Feltham Creek Point is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.744m (9,002ft) above sea level located in Custer County, in the US state of Idaho. It's one of the highest roads of Idaho.

Where is Feltham Creek Point?

The peak is located within the Salmon-Challis National Forest, in the center of Idaho. This area is remote, so please take necessary precautions and use common sense.

Why is there a road to the summit?

The summit hosted a fire lookout tower, built in 1933 and removed in 1967. The view from the summit is exceptional and includes the Sawtooths and Cabin Creek Peak.

Is the road to Feltham Creek Point unpaved?

The short road to the summit is totally unpaved. It comprises steep sections and a couple of hairpin turns. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

How long is the road to Feltham Creek Point?

Starting from Pinyon Peak Loop Road, the road to the summit is 0.8km (0.5 mile) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 86m (285 ft) and the average gradient is 10.75%. 

Is the road to Feltham Creek Point open year-round?

Set high in the Salmon River Mountains, the road is not plowed in winters.
