Salmon River Road is said to be one of the America's Best Road Trips. Located in Lemhi County, in the U.S. state of Idaho, this scenic route follows central Idaho’s largest river north.

Located within the Salmon-Challis National Forest, the road is paved and follows the Salmon River. It’s a two-lane road with no passing lanes and some 25-mph curves. It features a high risk of rock and debris slides.

It’s also known as NF-30. The drive is 74 km (46 miles) long, running east-west from North Fork (Casey Road) to Corn Creek. The journey offers an exhilarating driving experience, with superb views. This is definitely one road trip that you want to record with lots of photographs. The road is a natural pathway into Idaho’s rugged backcountry.
