Where is Hogan Pass?

The pass is located in the central part of Utah, within the Fishlake National Forest. One of Utah’s great scenic vistas can be seen here. From the summit, you can literally see for hundreds of miles. It is truly one of the best views on Earth.

Is Hogan Pass paved?

The road to the summit is fully paved. It’s called Utah State Route 72. The road is steep in parts, hitting a 9% maximum gradient through some of the ramps.

How long is Hogan Pass?

The pass road is 54km (33.6 miles) long, running north-south from US-50 to Loa (the county seat of Wayne County).

Is Hogan Pass open in winter?

The road is open year-round, but at this elevation, it is frequently closed during winter weather.
