Bald Hills Road: incredible and beautiful vistas
Bald Hills Road is a very scenic drive located in Humboldt County, in northern California, USA.
Located within the Redwood National and State Parks, the road is mostly unpaved. It’s 51.01km (31.7 miles) long, running west-east from U.S. 101 to CA-169. The drive offers many opportunities for elk viewing in an area that features redwoods, magnificent oak woodlands and prairies.
It’s one of the most scenic drives in the Redwood National and State Parks. The road is accessible year-round. It’s pretty steep, ascending a steep 15 percent grade through old-growth redwoods and motorhomes/RVs and trailers not advised.
