It’s a one-lane car road passing underneath a dual railroad track above it, within the woods along a gravel road.
How did the Legend of Bunny Man Bridge Start?
The legend has many variations, including the urban legend of a man in a bunny suit killing people with an axe or hatchet. There is also a legend of a long time ago when a mental hospital transported their patients to a new facility, and a man escaped. In 1904, an asylum near Clifton was shut down due to residents' objections, and the patients were transferred by bus to Lorton prison. The bus crashed, and all patients were accounted for except one, Douglas Griffon. Weeks later, rabbit corpses appeared in the woods, suggesting Griffon was eating them to survive. The missing mental patient was, of course, assumed to be the killer.On Halloween night, a group of kids saw a bright light near the bridge and were found hanging from the bridge, gutted like the rabbits. This chilling incident linked Griffon to the gruesome events.
