Six Mile Cove Road

Can you drive to Six Mile Cove?

Tucked away in Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the road is totally unpaved. It’s partly wash-boarded and leads to Six Mile Cove, a lovely, small cove in Lake Mohave. It gets very crowded during the summer months but not bad if you arrive early on a Friday. There is a lot of room at the waterfront, and plenty of parking. Limited cell signal.

How long is Six Mile Cove Road?

Starting at Mead-Davis Powerline Road, the dead-end road is 10.13km (6.3 miles) long. Most of the time, the road is accessible by passenger car and RV. However, a 4WD vehicle is recommended.
