Instead, visitors are encouraged to use shuttle buses. Operating since 2000, these propane-powered buses, available as frequently as every 6 minutes during peak season, mitigate noise, pollution, and parking challenges. They operate daily from March to November. However, during winter—often weekdays in December and daily in January and February—visitors have the option to use their own vehicles along the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.
