How long is the Wawona Tunnel just north of Inspiration Point on Wawona Road?
The most famous section of the road is the views from Wawona Tunnel, the longest highway tunnel in California at 4,233 feet (1,290m) long. Completed in 1933, the tunnel, dubbed Tunnel View, offers your first view of Yosemite Valley. The tunnel is two lanes in total, one in each direction. This spot can be very popular in summer, so try to arrive early. It offers stunning views of El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall.
