How to drive Teton Park Road?
Always use caution when driving through Grand Teton. Watch for large animals on the road. Drive slowly at night. Elk, bison, and mule deer frequently migrate at night and may be difficult to see. Moose use roads as travel corridors. Hitting a large animal at highway speeds has resulted in fatal accidents. Careful driving protects you and the wildlife. Use pull offs to view wildlife or take photos, obey posted signs, and be aware of wildlife on or near the road.
Is Teton Park Road open?
Set high in Grand Teton National Park, the road is seasonally closed, from November 1st through April 30th from Taggart Lake Trailhead to Signal Mountain Lodge. Heavy snow makes it impassable in the winter.
