Fisherman Road is a gravel wild road located in Malheur County, in the U.S. state of Oregon, leading to Indian Creek Campground, on the southern shores of Lake Owyhee.

Is the Fisherman Road unpaved?

The road is totally unpaved and rocky. A 4x4 vehicle with high clearance is required. It features very narrow parts, so drive slowly. No internet or phone service anywhere close. It’s very steep, hitting an 18% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.

How long is Fisherman Road?

The road is 11.6 miles long, running east-west from Succor Creek Road to Indian Creek Campground, on Lake Owyhee. It is very scenic and picturesque.

Is the Fisherman Road open in winters?

Set high on the eastern edge of Oregon, the road tops out at 1.406m (4,612ft) above sea level. It is usually open year-round.
