Drews Gap is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.617m (5,306ft) above sea level, located in Lake County, in the U.S. state of Oregon.

Where is Drews Gap?

The pass is located to the east of Quartz Mountain Pass, between Drews Reservoir and Booth State Scenic Corridor which is just East of the summit and 12 miles west of Lakeview.

Why is it called Drews Gap?

The pass was named for Major Charles S. Drew, of the 1st Oregon Cavalry.

Is Drews Gap paved?

The road to the summit is totally paved. It’s called Oregon Route 140. The pass road is 68.07km (42.3 miles) long, running west-east from Bly (in Klamath County) to Lakeview (the county seat of Lake County).

Is Drews Gap open year round?

The road is open year-round, but short time closures are common in winter.
