Mission Peak is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.078m (6,817ft) above sea level, located in the US state of Washington. It’s one of the highest roads of Washington.

Where is Mission Peak?

The peak is located on the boundary between Kittitas and Chelan counties, in the central part of Washington, within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.

Is the road to Mission Peak unpaved?

The road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s called Mission Peak Forest Service Road (NF-330). It’s a pretty challenging drive, with curvy sections and 10 hairpin turns. It features steep parts. 4x4 vehicles required. It’s mostly washed out about half a mile from the top.

How long is the road to Mission Peak?

Starting from Liberty Beehive Forest Service (NF-9712), the road to the summit is 2.89km (1.8 miles) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 280m (919 ft) and the average gradient is 6.98%.

Is the road to Mission Peak open year-round?

Set high in the Wenatchee Mountains, the road is not plowed in winters.
