Lubken Canyon Road is a drive worth taking in CA
Lubken Canyon Road is a very scenic drive with sweeping mountainous views located in Inyo County, in the U.S. state of California.
Tucked away in the Inyo National Forest, in the Owens Valley, the road is fully paved. It’s 5.31km (3.3 miles) long, running east-west from US-395 to Horseshoe Meadows Road. It follows Lubken creek.
Located southwest of Lone Pine, in the Eastern Sierra Nevada, it’s a treacherous drive with stunning views. Remember it has loose gravel. It’s pretty curvy and narrow in parts. Weight limit is 7 tons. The road is pretty remote, with very little traffic. Usually there's horses and cows in these meadows.
