Navy Road

The road is totally unpaved. A 4x4 vehicle is required. It is used daily by vehicles. Starting from Prisoners Harbor, the road is 11.5km (7.14 miles) long. The drive is challenging, with difficult weather and rugged terrain.

The road is very steep, hitting a 22% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Running through a series of canyons and ridges, several movies were shot on the island, including Peter Pan and The Rescue. There are no poisonous snakes on the island, but watch for ticks, poison oak, cholla cactus, and scorpions.
