Chalk Mountain: a rough forest road to the summit

Chalk Mountain is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 3.667m (12,030ft) above the sea level, located in Lake County, in the U.S. state of Colorado.

It’s one of the highest roads in Colorado. The road to the summit is a narrow, rough forest road. It’s called Forest Road 134. It’s rocky in places and requires a high clearance vehicle.
Starting from CO-91, the road is 4.82km (3.0 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 431 meters. The average gradient is 8.94%. Great views at the top.
