Forest Road 230 is a short mountain road located in Chaffee County, in the US state of Colorado.
Nestled within the San Isabel National Forest, Forest Road 230 (Middle Fork) is totally unpaved. Located on the north side of Highway 50, the road is 4-wheel drive only and tops out at 3.424m (11,233ft) above the sea level. It is rough and not suited for passenger vehicles. Most of the road is covered in heavy snow until late May or early June. Starting from Monarch, the drive is 5.79km (3.6 miles) long. The elevation gain is 473 meters. The average gradient is 8.16%.
