Driving through Camino a Rayones (Nuevo Leon state route 7)
Camino a Rayones is a very scenic drive in the mountains of Sierra Madre Oriental in Nuevo León state, in Mexico.
This asphalted road communicates the municipal towns of Rayones and Galeana in Nuevo León state. It's an alternate to Mexico 57 an scenic route between Mexico city and Monterrey. The scenic segment of the road starts near the tourist attraction zoo "Bio Parque Estrella" at 500 masl climbing up to the Pilon River at 800 masl, crossing a mountain pass up to 1340 masl. It’s a 30 kilometer segment of curves, scenic views, canyons, rivers and mountains along the route.
