A paved road through the Peguis Canyon
Located in the northwestern Mexican state of Chihuahua, Cañon Peguis is a breathtaking geological feature where the Conchos River cuts 2000 feet through a mountain.
The road cutting through the canyon is asphalted. It’s called Mexico 16 and links Ojinaga town and Chihuahua City, the capital of the northwestern Mexican state of Chihuahua. The drive is 226km long within the Área Natural Protegida Cañón y Sierra del Pegüis. The drive is definitely worth it. A drive not to be missed! There are many excellent photo opportunities. Don't forget your camera with lots of film/memory, fully charged batteries and an empty memory card! The road offers fantastic views of Peguis Canyon.
