Range Road 51A is a very scenic winding road located in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It’sone of the highest roads of the country.

Located in the Highwood region of Kananaskis, in the Canadian Rockies, the road is 32.2 km long. It’s a well maintained winding gravel road, running North-South. The road is subject to strong winds and rapid weather changes. It can be very windy in the afternoons. The road is narrow in parts and has some steep ramps. It’s closed to big trucks.

The mountainous road links the asphalted AB-40 and the gravel AB-532 E. It’s closed from December to May. It’s pretty steep with some narrow sections. Not recommended for vehicles pulling trailers. Its highest elevation is 2.005m (6,578ft) above the sea level, at the Hump.
