The road to the pass, also known as White Man's Gap, is called AB-742 (Three Sisters Parkway). It’s a narrow, winding, gravel mountain road pretty steep. Drive with care as this is a mountain road with hairpin curves and dangerous dropoffs. It’s pretty easy to drive, no need for an SUV.

Located within the Banff National Park, this is a maintained road where a high clearance 2WD vehicle is able to travel safely. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. The road runs along several mountain lakes without guardrails. Watch for wildlife - lots of moose, coyotes, and the odd bear along the road.
