Set high in British Rocky Mountains, within the Kootenay National Park, the road to the summit is totally paved. It’s called Highway 93. It’s a two lane rural highway. The pass is named after James Sinclair, a fur trading merchant. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting an 11% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
