Spectacular and dangerous high mountain road located in the Tarentaise Valley, Savoie (France) starting in Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe, at 2.300m altitude above the sea level.
Located in the commune of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, the road is very narrow, not asphalted, without any protection, painted lines or security guardrails, and includes spectacular cliffs and precipices.
With a total length of 29,4km, and more than 50 hairpin turns, the expected time to drive this road is over than 1 hour and 10 minutes, because the speed restrictions in most of the curves and the bad surface.
The road, which reaches an elevation of 3,000m above the sea level, starts in the Rue du Slalom, in Val Thorens, and finishes in the junction with the road D215C, in Orelle, a commune in the Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.
