Kavakdağı Tepesi
Kavakdağı Tepesi is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.428m (7,965ft) above the sea level, located in the Erzurum Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey.
The road over the pass is gravel and steep, with some hairpin turns. 4x4 vehicle recommended. It is subject to winter snowfalls with such a high summit altitude, and it can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. Starting from D925 road, at Gölyurt Geçidi, the ascent is 3.1 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 78 meters. The average gradient is 2.51% with some sections up to 12%.
