The road through the pass is totally paved. It’s called Muş Kulp Yolu. It’s a very scenic drive, with stunning views.

How challenging is the road through Kazmadagi Pass?

It’s not an easy drive, as it comprises narrow parts, very steep sections (hitting an 8% maximum gradient through some of the ramps). The most demanding part runs along the Kulp Çayı river, with narrow parts running above the river.

How long is the road to Kazmadagi Pass?

Tucked away in the southeastern part of the country, the road is 79km (49 miles) long, running from Kulp (in Diyarbakır Province of the Southeastern Anatolia Region) to Muş (in Muş Province of the Eastern Anatolia Region).
