Bülbülen Geçidi is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.611m (8,566ft) above sea level, located in Turkey. It’s one of the highest paved roads in the country.

The pass is located on the boundary between Artvin and Ardahan provinces, in the northeastern part of the country.

How to get to Kinzi Kalesi fortress?

The road is the main access to Kinzi Kalesi fortress. Kinzi Castle, or Kindzi Castle, is a medieval Georgian castle located in the historical Artani region, northwest of the village of Bağdaşen. Because it is located within the boundaries of Bağdaşen village, it is also called "Bağdaşan Castle" or "Kinzodamal Castle". A road leads right up to the castle, approximately 200 meters from the main road. From the castle, you can also photograph Bağdaşan village.

The road through the pass is fully paved and features steep sections. It comprises a few hairpin turns.

The pass is 38km long, running west-east from Tosunlu (a village in the Ardanuç District, Artvin Province) to Yalnızçam (a village in the Ardahan District, Ardahan Province).

Is the road to Bülbülen Geçidi open year-round?
