
An epic paved road to Cimenli Gecidi in Turkey
Çimenli Geçidi is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.337m (7,667ft) above the sea level located in the Erzurum Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey.
The road to the summit is totally paved. It’s called D955. Access to the pass is typically open all year round but short term closures are common in winter due to dangerous weather conditions.
The pass is 77km (48 miles) long, running south-north from Esendere to Oltu. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting a 9% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps
