Gölyurt Geçidi is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.380m (7,808ft) above the sea level located in the Erzurum Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey.
The road over the pass is asphalted. It’s called D925. It’s pretty steep. This road can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. If you've got your own vehicle, it's worth stopping for the views.
The road over the pass has very heavy traffic. Speed limit is 50km/h. It is asphalted but watch out for sudden loose-gravel breaks. It is difficult to keep the pass open to traffic during the winters because of the harsh weather conditions due to high altitude. The pass links the villages of Pazaryolu and Rizekent. North the pass, a minor gravel road climbs up to a communication tower, at 2.439m (8,001ft) above the sea level.
