Gölyurt Geçidi is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.387m (7,831ft) above the sea level located in the İspir District of Erzurum Province, in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey.
Is Gölyurt Geçidi paved?
The road to the summit is totally paved, in pretty bad conditions. It’s called D925. When the snow falls - which it does in the winter – things get tough and slippery. North the pass, a minor gravel road climbs up to a communication tower, at 2.439m (8,001ft) above the sea level.
How long is Gölyurt Geçidi?
The pass is 38.6 km (23,98 miles) long, running from Kirazlı to Zeyrek. The road to the summit is very steep, hitting an 11% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
