Abdal Boğan Geçidi: The Ultimate Road Trip Guide in Sivas

Abdal Boğan Geçidi is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.750m (5,741ft) above the sea level, located in Sivas Province at the eastern part of the Central Anatolia region of Turkey.

Set high in central Turkey, the road to the summit is totally paved in very bad conditions, on the highway connecting Sivas to Malatya. Always check the weather forecast before you start your journey: adverse conditions are common.

The pass is 58.2km (36.16 miles) long, running from Kangal to Hasancelebi. The road is pretty steep, hitting a 7% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
