Adventure along the wild road to Mount Hasan (Hasan Dağı)
Mount Hasan (Hasan Dağı) is an extinct volcano at an elevation of 1.974m (6,476ft) above the sea level, located in Aksaray Province, Turkey.
Set high in central Turkey, the road to the summit is totally unpaved but navigable by most passenger vehicles. It’s a pretty challenging drive, with narrow parts and 14 hairpin turns. The summit hosts a paragliding site and a hotel.
The road to the summit is steep. Starting at Helvadere, the ascent is 7.5km (4.66 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 578 meters. The average gradient is 7.70%.
