
How To Travel The Palovit-Trovit Road
Located in the Rize Province of the Black Sea region of Turkey, the unpaved road from Palovit to Trovit is one of the highest roads of Europe.
The curvy mountain road is totally unpaved, with dangerous drop offs, featuring 14 hairpin turns. It’s 7.4 km (4.59 miles) long, running from Palovit to Trovit. Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season. The road tops out at 2.971m (9,747ft) above the sea level. 4x4 vehicle recommended due its steepness. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.
