The peak is located on the boundary between Kastamonu and Çankırı provinces, in the northern part of the country. At the summit there’s a communication tower known as TRT Vericisi İstasyonu. Remember the mountain top is a private property and entry is prohibited.

The road to the summit is very steep. Starting from Ilgazdağı Geçidi pass, the ascent is 4.2 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 206 meters. The average gradient is 4.90%. The maximum slope is 10%.

Set high in the Ilgaz Mountain National Park, the road is usually impassable in winters due to heavy snowfalls in the area.
